Biting North

A cold wind blows

Overview

Snow gently falls from the sky and wind bites your cheeks as you stand in the graveyard of Palebank Village, a fishing outpost of Uthodurn that is home to several hundred dwarves and elves. The sun is low in the sky, sinking behind the fresh grave of Urgon Wenth, an old dwarf who caught a curse or disease that turned him into an ice statue. The folk of the village have gathered to pay their final respects to Urgon’s frozen remains.

Threads of Wonder

Frigid Woe

After investigating an outbreak of a bizarre malady in Palebank Village which was turning victims into ice statues, it was revealed that this was a disease known as Frigid Woe which Urgon Wenth brought back in cracked vials from Eiselcross. Two sisters in the employment of the Uttolot family are infected, as are a travelling family of four who purchased a vial from one of the sisters. In recent days, Gerry has been feeling fatigued as his veins begin to turn a foreboding deep blue.

The party sails for Eiselcross to retrace Urgon's steps and seek out a cure, supposedly a milky liquid stored in golden vials by the Aeorians.

Relics of Eiselcross

Aeorian artefacts have been returning from Eiselcross and working their way through lucrative collector markets. Adventurers from far and wide are making their way to Eiselcross via the ports of the factions who stand to gain - or lose - the most. These are Icehaven, Jigow, and Palebank Village, each with varying levels of control and monitoring of what comes and goes. In addition, pirates from the deep seas seek to make an easy profit by raiding the lightly defended transport ships which sail between the mainland and Eiselcross.

King's Bounty

The party's ship was waylaid in the Frigid Depths by pirates led by a worshipper of Tharizdun, the Elder Elemental Eye who rules over the eternal darkness of the multiverse. This individual was given false life after Cairns Root struck him down with divine radiance. He carried a bounty from King Bertrand Dwendal seeking information regarding novel Aeorian artefacts, with a significant bonus if the artefact was a Luxon beacon.
